Hello Elise
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visiting my blog and for your lovely comments. As a child, I used to do ballet as it happens but also did gymnastics. I ended up concentrating on gymnastics as I was a lot better at it. I kept being told I stuck my bottom out too much when doing ballet....kept on being told not to curve my back so much! I did enjoy it though. I admire ballet dancers, such grace and yet such strength too. About to have a look at some of yoyur past posts.

Glad you like my blog - thank you for such a lovely comment. I was always hopeless at ballet, but now I am taught pilates by an ex-dancer, so I think I am improving!

Wow, I know next to nothing about ballet, except that once I was trying to twirl in my living room, hit my foot on the couch and broke my toe, but we can't exactly call that ballet lol. That and my daughter was once a mouse. I am going to have to read up some more and learn more about the beautiful art of ballet. Your blog is very interesting, too!

I'm so pleased that you found my blog and enjoyed reading my posts. You must have one of the best jobs in the world. I went to a girls school St Hildas and Ballet was a big part of our lives. When my Ballet shoes were on my feet I entered another world, one which I loved. I don't know why I gave up and looking at me now you would never know I was once told I should go to Ballet school. I do remember though having my last Ballet lessons with my friend Debbie Ball and often wonder if Deborah Ball the dancer is the same person. I have just been reading about Begona, to be a Ballet dancer must be a dream. It's interesting to find that she is learning Makaton, I used this method with my daughter. It is a fantastic way of communicating with children, the signs are straight forward, fun and friendly. I'll enjoy having a read of your other posts.
