ReplyDeletehello, thankyou for your lovely comments on my blog! The fairy was the sugar plum fairy! x
ReplyDeleteI saw the Nutcracker, here in Vancouver, years ago. Would love to see it again. The state of the arts, in Canada, is getting grim. So much has been cut, it's frightening. You've inspired me to send yet another email to our Premier. Thanks Elise!
ReplyDeleteTo devote one's life to the dance must be a fulfillment of the soul.
ReplyDeleteThankyou for introducing me to your wonderful posts and the beauty captured in every photo.

Elise dear,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my blog! How ever did you find me? I see you are in the know about ballet...what a beautiful life. Merci mille fois! ANita
Oh my sister loves Ballet. I must mention this to her!
ReplyDeleteMy first introduction to ballet was in a young girls comic called Judy. Then occasionally there was glimpses on television. Children rarely read comics nowadays which is a great pity as although there are more television channels there appears to be less ballet shown. It would be lovely to see it promoted in schools.
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed Tchaikovsky as he puts a spell on music especially the violin.
The only name that I can remember regarding fairies from the Nutcracker is the Sugar Plum fairy. I don't suppose that this is the name thatn you are looking for - but if it is and if I were to win then please donate the prize to Children in Need.
Thank you for your friendship and visits to my blog. This visit to yours has certainly stretched my brain cells - I don't think that I have ever thought about fairies so much in my life!
what a happy outing to contmplate!
